Matcha Kyoto No Takara Supreme Green Tea
This Supreme Matcha Kyoto no Takara (Treasure of Kyoto) is a classic Koicha Maccha, or Thick Tea, with a sweet and sophisticated flavour. The tea is rich, aromatic and has an intense colour with a lightly sweet, milky finish. To prepare this tea, add a small amount, no more than half tea spoon of powder to a bowl, add 1/3 cup of 60˚C water and whisk for a minute, until the thick foam is formed on top of the tea.
Ground tea leaves, hand-picked in Kyotonabe, Kyoto prefecture, Japan, in late April. Kyoto (京都府) prefecture is located in the center of Honshu, the largest island of Japan, on the north coast, but reaching well into the interior of the island as well. The prefecture has a diverse geography and climate, reaching from the sea into mountains. Tea is mostly grown in the southern part, around Uji and Kyotonabe cities.
